Holidays are all about letting your hair down, and if you fancy sampling the Cornish nightlife you'll certainly find an eclectic mix of venues to get the party started.
Head to the capital city, Truro, for a diverse collection of bars, pubs and clubs, ranging from the stylish One Eyed Cat, set in a converted chapel, to traditional pubs like The Old Ale House. If you appreciate the odd cocktail try Speakeasy, the late-night bar serving prohibition-era cocktails above Mustard and Rye, or Truro's only lounge bar, The Nightjar. The popular Old Grammar School deserves a special mention too, the "independently spirited boutique" set in a Grade II listed building and featuring amazing tapas and resident DJs. And if you're not ready to go home with the last bus then carry on dancing at nightclubs Vanilla, L2, The Office or Bar Qdos.
If you're less of a city slicker then why not try the relaxed, surfy ambience of Newquay's bars and clubs, many overlooking the impressive coastline and famous for being part of one of the UK's most vibrant nightlife scenes. Or perhaps you'd prefer a crawl around some of the traditional fishing villages and their olde worlde pubs, boasting great local ales, glorious beer gardens and roaring fires, where you can meet some colourful local characters and leave feeling as though you've really immersed yourself in the best of Cornish culture.
