Our beautiful capital city of Truro, around 20 minutes' drive away from Poltair, is definitely worth a stop if you need a bit of retail therapy.

With its cobbled streets and handsome cathedral it's certainly more charming than your average high street - venture down side roads to hunt out some of the quirkier boutiques, bars and bistros. There's plenty of parking but, as with all cities, this comes at a price, so if you'd prefer the easier option then why not make use of the first-rate, great-value Park and Ride service?

For altogether less conventional browsing pop over to Falmouth, teeming with wonderfully idiosyncratic independent shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. Or take a trip to picturesque St Ives, for galleries and cottage industries aplenty.

Of course, Cornwall features a multitude of farmers' markets, including the local produce market at Camborne every Saturday from 9am - 1pm. Click here for info on all.

You might just need a quick in-and-out to pick up tonight's outfit, or to grab a few treats for dinner - in that case look no further than West Cornwall Shopping Park, just a ten-minute drive from Poltair and equipped with free parking. Boots, Next, M&S and, for that all-important caffeine injection, Costa Coffee: job done!
